Scottish-Irish Contemporary Art
Tom Campbell is a Scottish artist from the town of Dumfries, gateway to the Galloway.
However, it is the city of Cork in Ireland that he now calls home , and it is here that he
has produced his most inspiring work.
"if there was an art movement i would relate to it would possibly be expressionism and Dada.
i work in a fairly free and spontaneous manner and believe that art is not a luxury item but
a necessity for society that as humans we cannot be and have never been with out , the importance
is the creative act (in the larger sense of the word) and this is not and never will be confined
to the artist , art is for all."
Please feel free to browse the various galleries where you can see some of Tom's finest work.

"my work is moving more towards performance ,both 'performance art'
wise and circus\ street theater wise.i am currently training regularly
with a group of acrobats. This Christmas cork saw a clown
choir(carol singing) tastefully bad.i do not see this as contrary to
my 'fine art' practice and i will continue to develop and finish
paintings and sculptures for new shows. but the message is firmly art is not only for Christmas and
that art is important , but the fertility of the soil is more
important!"
most recent show has been in cork coffee roasters,
which was a fundraiser for the palestine cirus project,
and that between activsm on the israel/palestine issue and some circus training
tom is busy.
